Current Publishing is an independently owned magazine publishing company based in London that focuses on the heritage sector. It was founded in 1967, and our specialist titles are well-respected in their fields. Our team of dedicated writers live and breathe their subjects, which they turn into illuminating features easily understandable by the general public. As such, we are fortunate to have a highly loyal readership.

This has allowed the company to flourish during testing times, increase our portfolio, and our readership as well. We now deliver hundreds of thousands of copies per year to dedicated, intelligent readers from the UK, the US, and the rest of the world.

We publish four magazines, Current Archaeology, Britain's favourite archaeology magazine, focusing on archaeology in the UK; Current World Archaeology, a sister magazine which contains digs and discoveries from around the world; Military History Matters, the history magazine on conflict on land, sea, and in the air; and we have recently welcomed Ancient Egypt into the fold, the world's leading Egyptology magazine.

Based overlooking the Thames in West London, Current Publishing's dedicated team boasts a wide range of academic, professional and creative backgrounds. What unites them is an expertise in their field and a passion for bringing the past vividly to life. On a practical basis, this means that the person who answers the phone to your query is likely to have a degree in history or archaeology, allowing us to engage with our highly loyal readers in an informed way, as well as on a personal basis. We are proud that our magazines are produced entirely in-house, with editors and designers; subscriptions, sales and customer-service staff, all working together each day to bring you the finest, most accessible writing and the latest thinking, and to produce the very best magazines possible.
